LTSAs Aren’t a Fallback. They’re an Operating Plan.
Commissioning is a milestone. Keeping a system current is a standard.
Requirements evolve. Hardware ages. The people who set up the original system move on to other projects. None of that pauses just because a plant reaches commercial operation.
Merit’s service team, led by Director of Technical Services Tom Studer, currently supports 50 sites and is growing. Long-Term Service Agreements, covering plants throughout their full operating life. The thinking behind an LTSA isn’t to use it as a fallback when something goes wrong. It’s part of an asset’s operating plan from the start.
In practice, that looks like a fast, defined response time and someone actively tracking whether the system still meets current grid requirements. It also means the team isn’t limited to SCADA controls. They’re ready to troubleshoot fiber, firewalls, and network issues, and we’ll help isolate the issue, even when it originates with another vendor’s equipment.
Not sure where your system stands in relation to current grid requirements? Merit’s service team can walk you through it.
