Position Description:
MERIT Controls is seeking a highly motivated, diligent individual for a Project Manager position within our Operations Team. The Project Manager will work with a cross-functional team to manage project schedules, procurement, cost, design submittals, deliveries, and customer interface. The Project Manager serves a key role in the core function of the business and its success.
Qualified candidates possess strong communication skills, attention to detail, commitment to task, and technical knowledge to facilitate multiple project-level phases. The Project Manager will be responsible for managing the relationship with the customer, vendors, contractors, and all stakeholders. A well-organized, agile individual that can operate with considerable autonomy with overall guidance is desired.
Responsibilities:
- Create project budgets, schedules, and bill of materials
- Perform risk management to safeguard all project-related activities
- Track internal and external deliverables in support of completing project on time and budget • Manage the procurement and track deliveries of project equipment and materials • Ensure project safety compliance and standards are met
- Implement project controls and analytical processes to predict, understand, and constructively influence the time and costs outcomes of a project
- Critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving are required to manage the day-to-day project workflow effectively
- Create and maintain regular communication and comprehensive documentation both internally and externally with the goal of full compliance with contracts and schedule
- Track and report key project metrics internally and to the customer
- Participate in and lead meetings with the customer, contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders
- Enforce quality control and assurance
- Lead lessons-learned and root-cause efforts
- Lead project closeout processes
- Work with the project team to conduct analysis, develop appraisals and recommendations, and prepare presentations and all supporting documentation
- Identify enhancements to project deliverables and work processes
- Assist business development team with presentations, analysis, and reports
Full-Time Position
Direct reports: 0 FTE, 1 or more interns
Travel: up to 15%
Position Requirements:
Experience:
- Previous project management experience a plus, particularly in renewable energy
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field

Physical Demands & Working Conditions:
