Dmitriy Anichkov is chief technology officer and a founding member of Merit SI and Merit Controls, with more than 30 years of global engineering and management experience in the power industry. Dmitriy developed energy management and control systems serving ALSTOM Grid, MISO, Duke Energy, GDF Suez and others. He possesses extensive experience in R&D, commissioning, and operations.

As principal engineer at First Solar, Dmitriy developed a first-of-its-kind grid integration control system used for some of the world’s largest solar PV power plants, including the 290 MW Agua Caliente Solar Project, the 550 MW Topaz Solar Farm, and the 550 MW Desert Sunlight Solar Farm. Dmitriy leverages his product development experience and innovative controls designs to advance solar PV and energy storage technologies as well as expand the Merit Controls product portfolio and position it as an industry leader. Dmitriy is the lead inventor of several U.S. patents that Merit Controls has filed in the energy management industry sector.
