Mark Zeni, chief operating officer of Merit Controls, brings results-oriented, hands-on leadership to the team, with a demonstrated ability to scale businesses with the proper balance of people, process, and systems.

Mark was most recently COO of GameChange Solar, where he led the tracker development team and scaled the logistics and operations teams in support of growing the business to 6 gigawatts of PV mounting systems.

Prior to GameChange Solar, Mark was the director of EPC Supply Chain at First Solar, where he scaled the supply chain organization from a single buyer to a global team that delivered over 7 GW of PV power plants in the course of 8 years. For the subsequent two years Mark was the director of engineering operations for First Solar’s Global Systems Engineering organization, responsible for strategic planning and deployment, value engineering and new product deployment to EPC projects.

Prior to joining First Solar, Mark held a variety of positions in operations and supply chain, including VP of supply chain, director of logistics, plant manager, and project manager. His experience spans over 25 years in the automotive, consumer electronics, semiconductor equipment, and power EPC industries.
